Free Health Insurance Plans For College Students
How much are Pap Smears at your college, if they even offer them?
I go to CSU Fresno where at our health center, a Pap Smear costs $21, which includes a lab fee. Since Planned Parenthood offers Paps for free, shouldn’t a university campus also offer them for free, since the cost might deter a woman from getting one??? Especially since college students are less likely to have insurance of their own?
We don’t pay for pap smears here so it’s quite interesting to see that you have to pay for them at a college.
I would definitely agree with you though, they should be free, especially on a college campus. Students have a hard enough time with funds. They shouldn’t have to skimp on medical care in order to eat or pay bills.
