When I go back to parents on health insurance?

I am 24 years … I was fired in April 2009 and I lost my health insurance coverage. I have been without coverage since then, and in my new job does not offer health insurance. I know that under the new plan that can return in terms of my parents until the age of 26 … but not yet in force and nobody seems to know when it will happen. Anyone have any info?
